We are proud of our products and how well they work. Every Estroven® production run undergoes a great deal of testing for purity, potency, and stability. These tests are performed by qualified laboratories, which follow standards set by various scientific agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP), NSF, AOAC, and other standard-setting authorities.
Vendor Selection
We have developed certain standards for the vendors who supply us with the herbs, vitamins, and other compounds that we use in our practices (GMP). We check all facilities and operations to be sure they meet good manufacturing standards. We constantly exchange information with our vendors, so that we can keep improving on our process.
Testing Process
All batches of our products pass through a thorough validated analysis before they are distributed to stores. Qualified analytical testing laboratories test for potency so that our products can be correctly labelled. Private blends of herbs cannot be tested by traditional methods; therefore product specification standards are used. We have standard operating procedures for:
- Product acceptance
- Testing
- Analysis
- Packaging
- Cleanliness of quality assurance areas, storage, and distribution
- Complaints
- Reserve areas for retaining records (including finished goods and raw materials)
Stability Testing
It is essential that the quality of our products does not lessen over time, and that they are as effective from the day they leave the plant to the day you purchase them. For this reason, we make sure that they meet expiration date requirements, so whether you use the product the day it is made or two years from now, it delivers what we promise. Expiration date testing is a standard process for Estroven.
